Color Knitzy Level 322 Solution Walkthrough

Step-by-Step Instructions

The objective is to fill the gridded pattern at the top of the screen using the colored spools of thread from the puzzle board below.

  1. Drag a spool of thread over the empty squares on the pattern that match its color. The path must be contiguous.
  2. The number on each spool (e.g., 8, 3, 2) indicates the total number of squares that spool can knit.
  3. You can use a spool to knit a portion of a color block and then use it again later to finish it, provided it has enough thread left.
  4. The player systematically works through the colors, often clearing smaller, more accessible blocks first to create space on the board.
  5. For example, the player first uses the purple, light blue, and green spools to fill in sections on the right side of the pattern.
  6. They then use the dark blue, orange, and red spools to fill blocks in the center and on the left.
  7. This process is repeated: use a spool to knit a section, which moves it out of the way, then use another newly accessible spool.
  8. Once all the squares of a single color block in the pattern are filled, the corresponding spool is completely used up and disappears from the board, freeing up a slot.
  9. Continue this process of selecting a spool, knitting a matching section, and clearing space until the entire pattern is filled.

Notes and Precautions

The primary challenge of this level is managing the limited space on the puzzle board. Spools act as obstacles, blocking the paths for other spools. You must plan your moves carefully to avoid trapping a needed color behind others, which could make the level unsolvable without restarting. Pay close attention to the thread count on each spool. You cannot knit more squares than the number indicated.

Tips and Tricks

Prioritize Clearing Space: The most effective strategy is to make moves that open up the board. Sometimes, it's better to knit a small, 2-square section with a spool if it clears a path for multiple other spools, rather than waiting to knit a larger, currently blocked section. Partial Knitting is Key: Don't feel obligated to use all of a spool's thread at once. The ability to partially knit a section is crucial for maneuvering spools around the board and creating new pathways. Look Ahead: Before making a move, anticipate which spools you will need next and ensure they have a clear path or that your current move will help create one. Work from the outside in or clear entire columns/rows of spools when possible to simplify the board.
