The objective of Level 243 is to complete a multi-colored knitted pattern shown at the top of the screen. To do this, the player must first create the necessary colored threads by solving a puzzle in the bottom grid. The player slides bobbins around the grid to match three or more of the same color, which generates a spool of that colored thread. Throughout the level, the player creates and uses blue, yellow, red, purple, green, orange, grey, and light brown threads. Each time a spool of thread is created, the player uses it to automatically knit the corresponding colored sections of the pattern above. The process of matching bobbins and applying the thread is repeated until the entire pattern is complete, which finishes the level.
The player starts with a certain number of lives (3/5 is shown) and a timer is active, suggesting there are penalties for taking too long or making mistakes.
Below each available thread spool, a percentage indicates how much of that color is needed to complete the pattern, helping the player prioritize which colors to create next. Strategically move bobbins in the puzzle grid to set up chains of three or more, which is the only way to generate thread.
