The primary goal is to fill in the knitted pattern at the top of the screen. To do this, you must first create full spools of colored yarn by merging matching colored pieces in the puzzle grid below. Drag one piece onto another of the same color to combine them; repeat this until a full spool is formed and appears in the top row. Once a spool is available, drag the thread from the spool to the corresponding colored square in the pattern to fill it in. Continue this process of merging pieces and applying the yarn until the entire knitted pattern is complete.
Pay close attention to the number on certain pieces, as this indicates how many merges you can perform with them before they are removed from the board. To acquire a key, you must first clear the colored piece that is positioned on top of it. The top bar has a limited number of slots for full yarn spools, so you must use them on the pattern to make space for new ones.
Plan your moves by observing which colors are needed for the pattern and which pieces are most accessible in the puzzle grid. It is efficient to clear paths to reach blocked pieces or to get the key needed to unlock sections of the board. Use the limited-move pieces (those with a number on them) strategically to create necessary spools before they disappear.
